About the Center
The Center of Engineering Consultancy and Development Services at Faculty of Engineering, Sohag University, was established as a special-status unit enjoying technical, financial, and administrative independence. Its establishment was approved by the University Council during its 5th session on December 25, 2006.

The rapid and successive developments witnessed globally across all fields necessitate an effective, action-oriented response at every level recognizing the pioneering role of Faculty of Engineering in advancing the educational process and elevating the standards of design and implementation for diverse engineering projects, the Center of Engineering Consultancy and Development Services was established to meet the community’s growing scientific and technological needs and requirements
In its session held in December 2006, the Supreme Council of Universities approved—via Resolution No. (5)—the establishment of the Center of Engineering Consultancy and Development Services as a “Special Unit” within Faculty of Engineering. This initiative leverages the Faculty’s substantial pool of distinguished academic experts possessing extensive practical experience, supported by available laboratory facilities and equipment..

Vision and Mission
Vision
The Center of Engineering Consultancy and Development Services aspires to provide innovative, high-quality engineering services across various engineering disciplines, thereby serving and developing the community and elevating standards of design and execution in diverse engineering fields. It aims to achieve this by leveraging the engineering and academic expertise of staff members and utilizing the faculty distinguished laboratories, which are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation. Furthermore, the Center seeks to establish itself as a trusted name in testing and consultancy and a leading source of engineering solutions.
Mission
To provide consultancy services, integrated research and studies, and training to address challenges across various engineering and industrial fields in accordance with Egyptian and international standards to strengthen cultural and scientific ties with other universities as well as local, regional, and national public institutions by leveraging the expertise of staff members and the Faculty’s laboratory capabilities—while continuously striving to upgrade these facilities with state-of-the-art equipment—with the ultimate goal of advancing the community and the surrounding environment.
Objectives

10- Contributing to community service by organizing and hosting scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops to foster community awareness
The role of the center in serving the university and the educational and research processes
The Center’s Role in Serving the University and Supporting Educational and Research Activities:
1- The Center prepares designs and supervises the construction of all new university facilities—both at the Al-Kawamil site and the current campus—ensuring they meet the highest standards.
2- The Center facilitates the procurement of various equipment for the Faculty’s laboratories, thereby contributing to the students’ educational experience.
3-The Center provides training opportunities for Faculty students through the projects it oversees.
