A word from the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs: My dear students, welcome to the Faculty of Engineering, Sohag University. We congratulate you on the start of the new academic year and wish you continued success and diligence in achieving your aspirations. Our new students should know that academic excellence will allow them to choose the department they wish to join Maintaining this excellence will make you a successful engineer in society and will easily give the opportunity to employment after graduation, given the intense competition in the job market.
Through its various activities and departments, the sector strives to provide the best services – whether educational, recreational, or cultural – to students at all levels of education. It also seeks to monitor the implementation of these services to ensure quality. Simultaneously, the sector is keen to keep pace with development and the latest scientific advancements in the services provided to students, believing in keeping pace with the times, a new and distinctive program has been added to the Electrical Engineering specialization, which is the Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence program. This is in addition to the programs available at the faculty (which are the Civil Engineering program – the Construction program – the Architectural Engineering program – the Electrical Engineering program, which is divided into two specializations: Power and Machines Engineering and Electronics Engineering) Which includes artificial intelligence applications, programming and algorithms. نبذه عن الإتحاد
هو التنظيم الذي يمارس من خلاله الطلاب مختلف الأنشطة ( الرياضية – الثقافية – العلمية – الفنية – الاجتماعية –الجوالة والخدمة العامة – الأسر الطلابية ).
ويتكون إتحاد الكلية سنويا من سبعة لجان , كل لجنة تتشكل بريادة رائد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس يصدر قرار بتعيينه من عميد الكلية وعضوية طالبين يتم انتخابهم من بين الطلاب يمثلان الأمين والأمين المساعد للجنه ومن هؤلاء الطلاب يتم انتخاب أمين اتحاد الكلية وأمين مساعد الأتحاد.
طريقة التقدم للترشيح لإتحادات الطلاب
يقوم السيد الأستاذ الدكتور/ رئيس الجامعة سنويا بتحديد مواعيد الانتخابات التفصيلية لاتحاد الطلاب خلال النصف الأول من شهر نوفمبر من كل عام وتتم فى موعد غايته آخر نوفمبر وعلى الطلاب الراغبين فى الترشيح لعضوية الاتحاد التقدم لإدارة رعاية الشباب فى مواعيد فتح باب الترشيح التى يحددها السيد الأستاذ الدكتور رئيس الجامعة للحصول على استمارات الترشيح واستيفاء بياناتها وإعادتها للإدارة فى المواعيد المحددة .
أولا :شروط الترشح لإحدي لجان الإتحاد:-
- أن يكون متمتعا بجنسية جمهورية مصر العربية.
- أن يكون متصفا بالخلق القويم والسمعة الحسنة.
- أن يكون طالبا نظاميا مستجدا فى فرقته غير باق للإعادة لأى سبب.
- أن يكون مسددا لرسوم الإتحاد.
- أن يكون من ذوى النشاط الملحوظ فى مجال اللجنة التى يرشح نفسه فيها.
- ألا يكون سبق الحكم عليه بعقوبة مقيدة للحرية أو أسقطت عضويته فى أحد الاتحادات الطلابية أو لجانها.
- بالنسبة لطالب الفرقة الإعدادية يلزم بتقديم شهادة من آخر مدرسة ثانوية كان بها تفيد ممارسته للأنشطة المرشح لها.
طريقة تشكيل الإتحاد
تعلن أسماء المرشحين للانتخابات فى مكان واضح بالكلية بعد إجراء عملية فحص الطلبات والبت فى الطعون المقدمة وتتم الانتخابات فى اللجان التى لم يفز مشرحوها بالتزكية ويشترط فى الطالب الذى سيدلى بصوته فى عملية الانتخاب أن يكون مقيدا بجداول الناخبين ويحمل ما يثبت شخصيته ويشترط لصحة الانتخابات حضور 50% من الطلاب الذين لهم حق الانتخاب فإذا لم يكتمل العدد تؤجل الانتخابات لموعد آخر أقصاه ثلاثة أيام ويشترط لصحة الإعادة حضور 20% من الناخبين. وإذا تعذر حضور هذه النسبة يستبعد تمثيل كل طلبة الفرقة التى لم يكتمل عدد ناخبيها.
وإذا تعذر تكوين مجلس الاتحاد بالكلية لهذا السبب فمن حق الاستاذ الدكتور/ عميد الكلية تعيين مجلس إدارة شئون الاتحاد يضم عناصر المتقدمين من الاتحاد ويكون لرائد هذا المجلس وأمينه سائر حقوق عضوية مجلس الاتحاد.
- يتم انتخاب الأمين والأمين المساعد بكل لجنة من لجان الاتحاد حسب جدول مواعيد الانتخابات.
- يتم انتخاب أمين وأمين مساعد الكلية حسب جدول الانتخابات.
- يتم انتخاب أمين وأمين مساعد مجلس تنسيق الانشطة الطلابية على مستوى الجامعة من أمين وأمين مساعد كل الكليات.
- يكون لكل لجنة من لجان الاتحاد رائد يحدده السيد الاستاذ الدكتور/ عميد الكلية.
- يكون رئيس الجهاز الفنى لرعاية الشباب أمينا لصندوق الاتحاد.
ويشكل مجلس الاتحاد سنويا بريادة السيد الاستاذ الدكتور/ عميد الكلية أو من ينيبه فى ذلك من السادة أعضاء هيئة التدريس وعضوية:
أ- رواد لجان مجلس الاتحاد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس.
ب- رئيس الجهاز الفنى لرعاية الشباب بالكلية.
ج- أمناء وأمناء مساعدى اللجان.

Student Activities
First: Student Activities and Their Objectives
1- Family Activities:
– Strengthening ties between students.
– Strengthening ties between students and their teachers.
– Developing the ability to cooperate and work in groups.
– Developing the ability to bear responsibility.
2- Sports Activities:
– To instill a spirit of sportsmanship among students, encourage athletic talent, and work on developing it.
– To develop students physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, and to cultivate self-reliance.
-To develop teamwork, a sense of responsibility, good judgment, and self-esteem.
-Helping the student acquire individual and athletic skills and practice a healthy lifestyle.
-Building social relationships and developing sound leadership qualities
3- Cultural Activities:
– Developing literary and poetic talents among students.
– Developing writing skills through wall magazines and other types of publications.
– Fostering a spirit of cooperation among students and enhancing their teamwork abilities.
4- Arts Activities Committee:
– Discovering and developing students’ artistic talents.
– Developing students’ abilities to highlight environmental and societal problems.
– Spending leisure time in a healthy, productive, and beneficial way through concerts and plays.
– Fostering students’ awareness of national and patriotic occasions and providing them with opportunities to express their national sentiments through artistic works.
5- Scouting and Public Service:
– Self-reliance.
– Developing and cultivating leadership qualities and a desire for leadership in students.
– Organizing the Scouting and Guiding Movement Committee on sound principles.
– Fostering a sense of the importance of providing public service to the nation through participation in national public service projects.
6- Social Activities and Trips:
– Developing social skills and discipline among students.
– Fostering a spirit of brotherhood and cooperation.
– Enhancing students’ cultural development through visits to tourist and historical sites within the country.
-Providing opportunities for recreation.
7- Scientific and Technological Activities:
– Early identification of innovative and outstanding students and assisting them in achieving their goals and plans.
– Developing their scientific awareness by providing them with scientific publications and journals.
Second: How to Participate in Activities
Students wishing to participate in the activities offered by the General Administration for Youth Welfare should follow these steps
- Fill out the student activity registration form at the faculty Student Welfare Department.
- Follow announcements published by the Student Welfare Department, whether at the faculty, university, or on the “Student Welfare Department at Sohag University” Facebook page.
- Visit the Student Welfare Department as soon as possible to register for the announced activity
- Joining the faculty team to participate in university-level activities.
- Joining various university teams to represent the university :
the event of announcements regarding trips and camps, the student should go to the Student Welfare Department at the university, and the student should have a copy of the faculty ID, a copy of the ID card, and the amount of money for the trip as soon as possible until the specified number is completed
Third: Procedures for forming a student family
The student family file is submitted to the faculty’s Student Welfare Department according to the forms prepared for this purpose, including
- The family name must be in Arabic and have a clear meaning or concept. Student families may not be established on a doctrinal or political basis, nor may they adopt a name or logo that suggests such. The purpose of forming the family
- The names and complete details of the family members, approved by the faculty student affairs office.
- Approval from one of the staff member s(professor, assistant professor, or lecturer) to lead the family, for those who have previously participated in student activities, and approval from the faculty’s youth leader
- Interim Board of Directors until elections are held.
- Family Bylaws.
- Family Activity Plan, along with a description form for each individual project.
