Department Overview
The Department of Architecture offers an excellent education aimed at graduating outstanding architects who are able to take responsibility, design and implement projects in the fields of building design, analysis, city planning and urban design through effective solutions committed to achieving quality standards The architect in turn studies human needs and understands them and transforms them into gaps, vocabulary and architectural language that has a character and is consistent with the needs of society and the nature of the environment.
Establishment of the Department
The department was established by a ministerial decision in September 2018 and began studying in it since 2018-2019 where the department is located in the building of Faculty of Engineering at the new university completely on the fifth floor. Student total in preparatory batch and in coordination with other departments.

Admission Rules
- Those who apply for admission to the various programs must meet all the requirements determined by the faculty Council and according to the mechanism of distribution between programs after passing level (0) successfully and with a total of 32 approved hours.
- Students who are restricted to transfer to a similar program in one of the faculties of engineering in Egyptian or foreign universities may be accepted provided that the student meets the requirements for admission to the faculty and the courses studied in the faculty from which he is transferred are credited to the student in accordance with the rules determined by the faculty council and the necessary clearance.
- As the incoming students are admitted to the faculty by the General Administration of Incomers according to the admission conditions set by the Supreme Council of Universities annually
Study Duration
- The duration of study in any program is five academic years (five levels over ten semesters) and the duration of each semester is fifteen weeks. Some courses may be offered in a summer semester of seven weeks of intensive study.
- The superior student may be allowed to graduate and obtain the Bachelor of Engineering degree with the approved hour study system, in a minimum of 4 academic years (or eight major semesters), after passing all graduation requirements. The maximum period of study is twenty semesters (ten academic years).
- Do not include frozen semesters (suspension of restriction) for reasons acceptable to the faculty Board.
Language of Study
- Study in all public programs in English.
Graduation Requirements
The requirements for obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering programs are as follows:
First: The student has successfully passed (with a grade of at least D) the courses mentioned in the curriculum and those required by the curriculum with all the requirements of the compulsory and elective courses and provided that the number of approved hours is not less than 160
• At least 1 hour credited with having earned an overall cumulative GPA for the years of study of at least 2.0 (C) including the graduation project.
Secondly: Successfully passing the military education curriculum.
Third: Passing courses in which the assessment is successful or deposited and does not count within the cumulative rate such as summer training.
Work Areas
Graduates of the Architectural Engineering Program are prepared to pursue careers in architectural design firms—engaging in architectural design, tender documentation, urban design, and detailed planning—as well as in the construction sector, building technology, rehabilitation and conservation, urban context development, and urban planning. Furthermore, graduates may pursue postgraduate studies at universities or affiliated research institutions.
