A word from the faculty’s vice dean for community service and environmental development

One of the most  important pillars of institutional capacity for faculty of Engineering is community engagement, through which it can serve the internal and external community of the faculty. The faculty’s internal community service includes providing a range of activities for the staff members, their assistants, students, Also, working to secure the work environment by providing security and safety requirements for human resources and all infrastructure facilities at the faculty, as well as communicating with graduates to help with continuous training and provide them with job opportunities.

The faculty’s external community service from civil society organizations is achieved through their participation in events organized by the faculty, field training programs for students, programs qualifying graduates for the labour market, as well as joint cooperation in applied research projects and workshops to solve real industrial and environmental problems.

This cooperation extends through the services and work provided to them by the faculty’s specialized centres and units to deepen the concept of community participation, the faculty adopts an ambitious system for signing cooperation protocols with many external parties Finally, I call upon all community stakeholders, including civil society organizations, my colleagues from the faculty, support staff, employees, and my students, to actively participate in all activities and programs offered by the Community Service and Environmental Development Department to achieve the highest rates of community participation and to realize the progress we hope for.
